More on CodyNick Tag numbers
CodyNick tag numbers are assigned to all CodyNick gadgets sold after November 1st, 2025, and allow users, instructors, maintenance technician, and CodyNick to access and share the following information about the gadget:
- Type of the gadget & wether it is original
- The characteristics of the gadget (e.g., color)
- Approximate manufaturing/distribution date and location
- Maintenance and technical history (by CodyNick and authorized technicians)
Note that removing the serial tag could have the following negative consequences:
- If your gadget is covered by a warranty, doing this will void it.
- You will not be able introduce or sell your gadget as an original CodyNick gadget
- You will not be able to receive maintenance services from CodyNick and some technicians (at their own discresion) if the tag number is permanently lost.
- If your gadget has any certifications, they will no longer be valid or verifiable.
Please Note: Tampering with the tag number of a gadget in order to get benefits that you are not entitled to (e.g., a refund or replacement, or warranty benefits) is against the law in many jurisdictions and will lead to, at minimum, sanctions by CodyNick.
If your gadget tag label has been damaged or removed: bring your gadget to a techician and they may be able to locate your gadget’s serial tag number and re-print your label!
